Subject: Extending the Sunset for the Achieving Better Care by Monitoring All Prescriptions Program under Act 191 of 2014
 
Please join me as a co-sponsor of legislation to extend the sunset date for the Achieving Better Care by Monitoring All Prescriptions Program, which was established in Act 191 of 2014.

This program helps to prevent prescription drug abuse by collecting information on all filled prescriptions for controlled substances. This information helps health care providers safely prescribe controlled substances and helps patients get the treatment they need.

The statute establishing this program is set to sunset on June 30, 2022, and under my legislation, it would be continued until December 31, 2028.  I look forward to working with you on this important legislation.
