Subject: Fair Pay for Working Overtime
 
For too long, hard-working Pennsylvanians have not been fairly and fully compensated for working overtime. I plan on introducing legislation that will expand eligibility for overtime and strengthen protections for workers. It is our responsibility to modernize our overtime regulations and ensure no Pennsylvanians working extra hours are given an unfair deal.
 
This legislation will enshrine the overtime regulations that came into effect in 2020 into law. These changes, originally drafted by the Department of Labor and Industry, will expand eligibility for overtime and strengthen protections for Pennsylvanians. The bill will also ensure that the duties tests for executive, administrative, and professional workers will more closely align to those in the Fair Labor Standards Act's federal overtime regulations.
 
Everyone should get paid fairly for working extra hours. Please support this basic principle by co-sponsoring this bill and stand with Pennsylvania workers.
