|Subject:||COVID-19 Community Fitness Business Grant Program|
|Local businesses in all industries have been negatively impacted and lost thousands of dollars in revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the toughest hit industries are fitness-related businesses, such as small local gyms, dance studios, and athletic training centers. Throughout the pandemic these businesses were closed and operating under capacity regulations. These businesses are vital to helping keep Pennsylvania fit and healthy, are implementing the appropriate safety measures, and need assistance.
In order to assist these local businesses, I will be introducing legislation which would allow fitness-related businesses with under $1 million in annual gross receipts to apply for a grant to help cover losses they have sustained. Grants would be allowed up to $20,000. Businesses would need to provide proof of losses and a plan for how the money will be used.
Please join me in sponsoring this important legislation and keep Pennsylvania healthy and fit during this crisis.
