Subject: Milrite Act Repeal
 
I plan to reintroduce legislation to repeal Act 109 of 1978, known as the Milrite Act. This legislation, introduced last session as HB 1830, received unanimous support in the House.

The Milrite Act, which created the Milrite Council (an economic development council composed of representatives of business and labor), provided for the expiration of the council on December 31, 1994. In other words, this act has not been relevant for over 26 years.
