MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 2, 2021 10:04 AM
From: Representative Danilo Burgos
To: All House members
Subject: Recognizing Dominican Republic Independence Day

In the United States, the Dominican people are the fifth-largest population of Hispanic origin and have made major contributions to the economic vitality and culture of our nation, accomplishing significant feats in many fields.

With these individuals in mind, I am introducing a resolution recognizing February 27, 2021, as “Dominican Republic Independence Day” in Pennsylvania. It is imperative that we honor the contributions and rich history of the Dominican Republic on the day of its independence.

As stewards of diversity and inclusion, it is my hope that you will join me in this collective effort to celebrate the Dominican American community in Pennsylvania. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Introduced as HR18
