Subject: | Ag Transportation Legislation (Prior HB 594) |
I will be reintroducing legislation (Prior HB 594) which amends the current law that exempts from registration implements of husbandry used exclusively for agricultural operations by providing for travel on highways from a farm to a school that is hosting an annual agricultural-related educational event. The distance from the farm to the school cannot exceed 25 miles. This bill also amends the current licensing exemption for a person 14 years of age or older to operate an implement of husbandry on the road between farms, to permit daytime travel to an annual agricultural-related educational event hosted by a school. The implement driven cannot exceed 11 feet and the school must be within 25 miles of the farm. Please consider joining me in cosponsoring this important legislation.
