Subject: Rule 45(a) Government Oversight Committee changes
 
This Rule change completes two goals:
(1) Allows the Government Oversight Committee to hold hearings to determine if an issue warrants a full investigation.
(2) Allows the committee to operate until the end of Session.

The Government Oversight Committee was first established last Session and has provided this body an effective oversight tool.  This Rule change will increase its effectiveness in the upcoming Session.
