MEMORANDUM

Posted: July 31, 2020 02:19 PM
From: Representative Kurt A. Masser
To: All House members
Subject: Amend Tax Reform Code of 1971 - provide relief for eating/drinking establishments for extension of time

I will be introducing legislation to help our eating and drinking establishments across the Commonwealth during this COVID-19 disaster emergency.  During a crisis like this, a very important aspect to eating/drinking establishments is cashflow.  I believe this legislation will help them with cash flow.

Specifically, the legislation will eliminate any late fees or penalties which would be incurred if sales tax would not be paid on time.   As long as the sales tax is paid within 30 days following being due, the late fees and penalties will be waived.

Please cosponsor this legislation.

Introduced as HB2752
