MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 21, 2020 05:09 PM
From: Representative Jennifer O'Mara
To: All House members
Subject: Designating the Capt. Michael Malinowski, Sr. Memorial Bridge

Selfless service to others is what makes a true hero, a quality exemplified by Captain Michael Malinowski. He was a staple of the Morton and Rutledge communities through his role as Captain of the Morton-Rutledge Fire Company and service on the company’s board of directors where he provided department trainings and helped repair the company’s crew room.

Sadly, Captain Malinowski passed away on December 3, 2019, only one day after reporting feeling ill following a response to downed trees and wires. His devotion to his community is a testament to his character and an example for all to emulate. This is why I am introducing legislation designating State Route 2025, also known as Morton Avenue, over Stony Creek in Morton Borough, Delaware County, as the Capt. Michael Malinowski, Sr. Memorial Bridge.

I ask that you support this measure and join me in honoring the life of this selfless individual.

Introduced as HB2256
