Subject: | Bridge Naming - Pvt Carl Edgar Keith Memorial Bridge |
I am seeking your support for legislation that will designate the bridge known as Bridge Key 40209, on State Route 1014 over the North Branch of Two Lick Creek in Green Township, Indiana County, as the PVT Carl Edgar Keith Memorial Bridge. Carl Keith, from Starford, gave his life in service to his country during World War II. PVT Keith served with the US Army, Company I, 387th Infantry. He volunteered for the unit known as “Merrill’s Marauder’s”. He took part in an attack against a strongly fortified enemy near North Sidapur, Burma on July 11, 1944. On July 12, 1944 he was declared missing in action. On April 5, 1946, he was presumed dead. Please join me in honoring and remembering this brave soldier. |
