Subject:	State Conservation Commission – Report of Details & Statistics to General Assembly (HB 2639 – 17/18 Legislative Session)

In the near future, for transparency reasons, I plan to re-introduce legislation (prior HB 2639) to require the State Conservation Commission (SCC) to formally submit a report to the General Assembly. In addition to the Commission’s staffing, program activities and a detailed accounting of how funding is used, the report will contain details and statistics on the programs and activities overseen by the SCC. Those include: Allocations to conservation districts Certified commercial manure haulers and brokers Dirt and Gravel Roads Leadership development/conservation district personnel training Nutrient and odor management activities REAP tax credits Please consider joining me in cosponsoring this important legislation.
