Subject: | Parents’ Day |
Across the nation and all over the world, parents work tirelessly to provide the utmost love and care for their children. They play vital roles in the lives of their children and are the core of our local communities. Parents are honored every year at the national level on the fourth Sunday of July. Given their contributions to our personal lives and society, it is imperative that we take the time to foster greater discussion and appreciation for them across this Commonwealth. The occasion additionally celebrates stepparents and grandparents, who often play crucial roles in family life. Therefore, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing July 28, 2019, as “Parents’ Day” in Pennsylvania. As stewards of strong community ties, it is my hope that you will join me in this collective effort to further honor the parents of Pennsylvania. Your consideration is greatly appreciated. |
