Subject: | Training for Employees and Supervisors on Discrimination and Harassment |
It’s hard to believe that discrimination and harassment training isn’t a part of all workplaces – regardless of whether you are full-time, part-time, an intern, or a volunteer. We can do better. In an effort to move our state forward, I will be reintroducing a bill to amend the Human Relations Act to require employers to conduct annual interactive discrimination and harassment training for all employees, interns, and volunteers at little to no cost to employers. In addition, my bill would require additional interactive training for supervisors and managers in the prevention of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. All workers deserve to feel safe at work regardless of how they are classified. Please join me in protecting our hardworking employees from harassment and discrimination in every corner of the Commonwealth. |
