MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 16, 2019 09:42 AM
From: Representative Jennifer O'Mara
To: All House members
Subject: Veterans’ Trust Fund

Many of Pennsylvania’s veterans, who have sacrificed dearly for our safety and freedom, come home and for a variety of reasons end up in need of help, which is often provided by statewide charitable organizations, veterans’ service organizations and county veterans’ affairs offices.

The Veterans’ Trust Fund was set up to provide grants to charitable and service organizations to assist in aiding this vulnerable group. In an effort to ensure that these organizations receive the funding they need to provide services to our veterans, I will be introducing legislation that would create a space on an individual tax return to allow for a donation of not less than five dollars to the Fund.

I believe we should do all we can to ensure that our veterans receive the services they need. Please join in this fight to aid our veterans.

Introduced as HB857
