Subject: | Cell Phones in Public Schools |
The use of cell phones and other electronic devices by students is widespread and has spread to schools, creating distractions during classes and making the task of teaching ever more difficult. Smart phones also represent challenges such as the use of the internet or cameras to cheat on exams or other inappropriate behaviors.
These significant challenges could be eliminated and the learning environment improved for all if phones are banned. As such, I am proposing the prohibition of the use of cell phones and other electronic devices by students in public schools.
Please join me in this effort to create a positive, healthy learning environment in Pennsylvania’s public schools. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
