MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 3, 2019 02:31 PM
From: Representative Anthony M. DeLuca
To: All House members
Subject: Resolution Urging Congress to Keep Certain Aspects of the ACA

This month a Texas Federal Judge ruled the Affordable Care Act to be unconstitutional. This is a serious development in the battle to ensure healthcare for Pennsylvanians. Individuals with pre-existing conditions, students, and cancer patients rely on protections granted by the ACA to live a good life.

If the ACA is found to be unconstitutional after appeals, my resolution would encourage Congress to pass legislation which codifies protections for pre-existing conditions, protections for students, and protections for cancer patients. Doing this at the federal level will ensure uniformity across the country.

Please join me in urging Congress to act to preserve these protections for all Pennsylvanians.
