Subject:	Co-sponsorship of Resolution - Re-establish a Select Subcommittee on Tax Modernization

In the near future, I plan to reintroduce a resolution, re-establish the Select Subcommittee on tax modernization and reform. The continued purpose is to investigate, review and make recommendations concerning the process, rates and methods by which revenue in this Commonwealth is collected and assessed on taxpayers. The Select Subcommittee will continue to develop proposals based on whether tax structures are outdated, and how to provide tax relief to the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable residents. In an ever changing society, the State has a responsibility to afford every resident of the Commonwealth the opportunity to secure financial stability without being overburdened with the State’s tax system. Please join me in co-sponsoring.
