Subject: School Textbook Orders
 
In the near future, I will introduce legislation allowing school districts to adopt textbooks at any regular school board meeting.

Currently, the Public School Code requires school districts of the second, third, and fourth class to adopt textbooks between the 1st of April, and the 1st of August.
My legislation will give our local school boards more flexibility in determining when to adopt textbooks.
