Subject:	Cosponsor Memo - Liquor License Renewal Surcharge Reduction

Dear Colleagues – When the House reconvenes, I will reintroduce language reducing the newly instituted liquor license renewal surcharge. As you may recall, there was significant discussion of the $700 liquor license renewal surcharge instituted under Act 39 of 2016. The new $700 fee will be charged to each and every liquor licensee statewide, every year. My legislation will reduce this fee from $700 to $200. I would appreciate your support.
