Subject: Creating a Spirits and Wine Auction Permit
 
Please find attached legislation that I plan to introduce in the near future to amend the Liquor Code.

This legislation will create a spirits auction permit which will allow a specific entity the ability to auction off spirits by the bottle or case as a means to raise funds. Currently, our laws provide for eligible entities to obtain a wine auction permit which allows that organization the ability to auction off wine by the bottle or the case. These permits are $30 a day and may be issued for a period of no more than four consecutive or nonconsecutive days.

Having both a Spirits and Wine Auction Permit will allow eligible entities further avenues to raise much needed funds.
