Subject: Resolution recognizing the week of April 10 through 16, 2016, as “Week of the Young Child” in Pennsylvania.

In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing the week of April 10 through 16, 2016, as “Week of the Young Child” in Pennsylvania.

The United Way and the York Area Association for the Education of Young Children and other local organizations, in conjunction with the National Association for the Education of Young Children, are celebrating the Week of the Young Child from April 10 through 16, 2016.

These organizations are working to improve early learning opportunities, which are crucial to the growth and development of young children, and to building better futures for everyone in York County, as well as around the Commonwealth and across this nation. All young children and their families deserve access to high-quality early education and care.

Please join me in recognizing this week and supporting the people, programs and policies that are committed to high-quality early childhood education as the right choice for kids.
