Subject:	Streamline Social Services Package

In the near future, I intend to introduce two pieces of legislation aimed at streamlining government in the treatment of addiction. My goal is for us to work smarter because services are disjointed now and in need of consolidation. I urge you to consider joining me in cosponsorship of the following measures:

Document #1

Introduced as HB1843

Description:	Place the responsibilities for people who may be addicted to gambling under the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) where other addictions are treated. I believe DDAP will do a good job of using state of the art treatment guidelines for compulsive gambling.

Introduced as HB1844

Description:	Move the responsibility for prevention and cessation of tobacco use to DDAP.It is my intention to create a one stop shop where the smoker can get good advice to help stop the behavior.
