Session of 2015 - 2016 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: June 9, 2015 10:19 AM
From: Representative Nick Kotik
To: All House members
Subject: The Fred A. Trello Memorial Boulevard

In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that would designate the section of Fourth Avenue (SR 51 NB) that runs from Ferree Street to Thorn Run Road and the section of Fifth Avenue (SR 51 SB) that runs from Thorn Run Road to Ferree Street in the Borough of Coraopolis, Allegheny County, as the Fred A. Trello Memorial Boulevard.

Representative Trello was born on November 14, 1929 in the Borough of Coraopolis in Allegheny County. He graduated from Coraopolis High school in 1949 and earned degrees from the Air Force Electronics School and Robert Morris College. He served in the Korean War as a member of the United States Air Force.

Representative Trello began his political career as a Democratic Committeeman and Councilman for the Borough of Coraopolis. In 1974, Representative Trello was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives where he served the 45th legislative district until 2002. He was a long time member of Knights of Columbus, the Coraopolis Lions Club, the ISDA Club, and the Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church.

On March 28, 2006, Representative Trello passed away at the age of 76.

Introduced as HB1341
