Subject: | Resolution Recognizing June 15-21, 2015, as “National Men's Health Week” in Pennsylvania. |
In the near future, I plan on introducing a resolution recognizing June 15-21, 2015, as “National Men's Health Week” in Pennsylvania. Originally established by the United States Congress in 1994, 2015 marks the 21st anniversary of “Men’s Health Awareness Week.” The purpose of “Men’s Health Awareness Week” is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. This week also gives health care providers, public policy makers, the media, and individuals an opportunity to encourage men and boys to seek regular medical advice and early treatment for disease and injury. Please consider joining me in co-sponsoring and supporting the promotion of a healthier male population by recognizing June 15-21, 2015, as “National Men's Health Week” in Pennsylvania. |
