Subject: Resolution Designating the Week of May 6-12, 2014, as "Nurses Week" in Pennsylvania
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution declaring May 6-12, 2014, as “Nurses Week” in Pennsylvania.

Each May, the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association partners with health care organizations and community leaders and advocates to promote National Nurses Week to highlight the diverse ways in which nurses are working to improve health care in Pennsylvania. From bedside nursing in hospitals and long-term care facilities, to the halls of research institutions, state legislatures and Congress, our dedicated nursing professionals are working diligently to meet the expanding health care needs of our communities and our Commonwealth.

The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association serves as the largest professional nursing association in Pennsylvania and represents more than 212,000 registered nurses across the Commonwealth.

Please join me in recognizing the importance of nurses in Pennsylvania by adding your name as a co-sponsor to this resolution.
