Subject: Annual National Public Works Week in Pennsylvania Resolution
 
On behalf of the American Public Works Association (APWA) and its 29,000 members, I will be introducing a resolution recognizing the week of May 18, 2014, as the “54th Annual National Public Works Week in Pennsylvania.”

National Public Works Week serves as a time to recognize the contributions of public works professionals who design, build, plan, operate, and maintain the transportation, water supply, water treatment and solid waste disposal systems, public buildings, and other structures and facilities essential to the economy and way of life. Their dedication and expertise are a capital investment in the economic growth, development, and ultimate stability of our Commonwealth.

I hope you will consider joining me in support of this resolution.
