Subject: S.R. 35 Bridge over Juniata River designated as Juniata County Veterans Memorial Bridge
 
In the near future, I will introduce legislation which designates the bridge over the Juniata River on S.R. 35 as the Juniata County Veterans Memorial Bridge.

Since the Civil War, over five thousand residents from Juniata County have served in every major United States military conflict.

The bridge currently displays twelve flags: six representing the United States, five representing the five branches of the five branches of the military, and one Prisoners of War/Missing in Action flag. To further memorize these veterans, I believe it would be appropriate to designate this bridge as the Juniata County Veterans Memorial Bridge.

Please join me in sponsoring this important piece of legislation.
