Subject:	Resolution - Honoring Dr. Scott Mackler

In the near future, I am planning to introduce a resolution honoring the life of Scott Mackler, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, who died recently after battling Lou “Gehrig’s” disease for 15 years. Dr. Mackler was a pioneering addiction researcher and physician who earned all four of his academic degrees at the University of Pennsylvania. Despite his condition, Dr. Mackler kept up an active research life, continuing to direct his ground floor lab at the University until his passing. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution to honor Dr. Mackler.
