Subject: Amending Title 75 - Reconstructed Vehicles
 
In the near future, I plan to reintroduce legislation (former HB 1695) that would allow salvors to apply for a reconstructed non-repairable vehicle certificate of title and registration.  A salvor may then restore a non-repairable vehicle back to operating condition if the vehicle undergoes and passes an enhanced vehicle safety inspection.

This bill will also bring the Commonwealth in line with neighboring states and allow for a smoother titling process for salvors when a parts-only titled vehicle is being transferred into the Commonwealth from an outside jurisdiction.
