Subject: | Hunting and Fishing Licenses - Health Care Workers and First Responders |
So many of our health care workers and first responders go about their jobs every day without any recognition or thanks for the important and dangerous work they do to keep us safe. Often, these heroes work long hours without any time to relax or enjoy their hobbies. As many know, nothing is more restorative to the soul than a great day outdoors hunting or fishing around the Commonwealth. Being outdoors, breathing in the fresh air and spending leisure time alone or with loved ones, allows a person to refocus, relax, and prepare mentally for stressful tasks that lie ahead. With this in mind, I will be introducing a package of bills that would allow health care workers and first responders to take advantage of this recuperative environment and encourage them to get outside and get away from the difficult situations they deal with every day. Specifically, the bills would provide for $1 hunting and fishing licenses for these important workers, who continually do everything they can to keep us safe and healthy. Please join me in sponsoring the following bills: |
