Subject: | Prohibited Acts in Connection with Child-Like Sex Dolls |
An increasingly concerning issue, the number of individuals buying and selling obscene sex dolls resembling minor children has sparked intense debate. Often manufactured and shipped from overseas, these dolls are disturbingly realistic, molded to the anatomically correct proportions of children as young as two or three years old. Easily accessible and not currently prohibited under federal law, the sale and display of these dolls continues to feed into the desires of potentially unknown child predators everywhere. My legislation aims to prevent the continued objectification of our children by prohibiting the sale, gifting, and display of obscene, child-like sex dolls. Violators would commit a misdemeanor of the first degree for a first-time offense, with subsequent offenses considered a third degree felony. I have also included a definition for “child-like sex doll” that clearly states what is considered one. As legislators, it is our duty to help protect Pennsylvania’s children. We must follow in the footsteps of states like Florida and Tennessee to stem the dangerous flow of these dolls into the hands of sexual deviants, before a real child is hurt as a result. For the safety of children across the state, please join me in sponsoring this legislation. |
