Subject: | Consistency Among Craft Industry Hours |
Recent changes to the liquor code in 2016 created the opportunity for breweries and distilleries to serve for on-premises consumption. However, the hours that were previously established are inconsistent across the two industries creating confusion and inconvenience for the consumer. With increased access to Pennsylvania’s very own products made possible, consistency is even more important. My legislation addresses these inconsistencies by creating across the board hours for both of these PA manufacturers, removing the confusion and inconvenience to the consumer. Specifically, breweries and distilleries would be permitted to sell for on-premises consumption between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Sunday. I request your support in ensuring that access to our fine Pennsylvania products is consistent and convenient for the consumer. Please join me in supporting our thriving craft industries. |
