Subject: Amending Title 4 (Amusements)
 
In the near future I will be introducing legislation designed to ensure that any applicant for a Category 1, 2 or 3 gaming license, proposing to locate a facility within 10 linear miles of a national military park, comply with the requirements of the Chapter 5 of the State History Code.

Pennsylvania needs to ensure the protection of national historic resources including the Gettysburg Battlefield. My legislation will not bar the awarding of an application in this region but will ensure that before any license is awarded to an applicant proposing to build a facility within 10 linear miles of the battlefield that the impact of this project on this type of historic resource is properly assessed.
