Subject: | Resolution Designating May 2013 as “Jewish American Heritage Month” in Pennsylvania |
On April 20, 2006, President George W. Bush proclaimed that May would be Jewish American Heritage Month. The announcement followed congressional resolutions introduced by Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida and Senator Arlen Spector of Pennsylvania, urging the president to proclaim a month that would recognize the more than 350-year history of Jewish contributions to American culture. Please join me in recognizing May 2013 as “Jewish American Heritage Month” in Pennsylvania by co-sponsoring this resolution. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Seidl of my office at kseidl@pahouse.net or 7-4117. Thank you. Co-sponsors of HR743 of 2012: BISHOP, B. BOYLE, K. BOYLE, BRENNAN, BRIGGS, V.
