Subject: State Working Animal Day (May 24)
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a Resolution designating May 24th as “State Working Animal Day in Pennsylvania.”
 
Working animals include police and military, search and rescue, therapy and service animals.  Whether it is a K9 sniffing for illegal drugs or a therapy horse helping a veteran overcome an emotional scar, working animals perform a number of tasks for the betterment of our society. 
 
On May 24th, the Pennsylvania State Working Animal Foundation will be bringing a number of groups and their working animals to the State Capitol for demonstrations.  My office will be providing additional information on this event, but please join me in cosponsoring this resolution in support of the work that these animals do for us.
