Subject: | American Red Cross Month - March |
Please join us in cosponsoring a resolution designating March as “American Red Cross Month” in Pennsylvania. The American Red Cross, founded in 1881 by Clara Barton, has grown to become one of the nation’s premier humanitarian organizations, providing services to members of the American armed forces and their families as well as providing disaster relief in the United States and around the world. Pennsylvania is served by two Chapters — the Eastern and Greater Pennsylvania Regions. Last year, in Pennsylvania, more than 3,800 families affected by 2,305 home fires and other disasters were provided food, lodging and recovery support. In 2019, SR 61 was sponsored by Senators Regan, Argall, Aument, Baker, Bartolotta, Boscola, Brewster, Brooks, Browne, Costa, Dinniman, Farnese, Folmer, Fontana, Gordner, Haywood, Hughes, Hutchinson, Killion, Martin, Mensch, Phillips-Hill, Santarsiero, Scavello, Tartaglione, Vogel, J. Ward, K. Ward, L. Williams, Yaw, and Yudichak. Please join us in recognizing the work of the American Red Cross and its 6,515 Pennsylvania volunteers. If you have any questions, please contact Nate Silcox, of Sen. Regan's staff, at 717-787-8524. |
