Subject: | Posting National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline Signage |
In the near future, I intend to introduce legislation that will would require the posting of National Human Trafficking Hotline signage in all restroom stalls, on all mirrors, and by all hand driers and paper towels dispensers. By providing increased access to this vital information, we will help get life-saving contact numbers into the hands of individuals that need them. In 2018, 127 cases of human trafficking were reported in Pennsylvania. To these victims, timing is critical. Access to a life-saving hotline number may provide the opportunity a victim needs to break free. We have a duty to protect the citizens of Pennsylvania. Ensuring easy access to human trafficking hotline information is one step in aiding victims in the Commonwealth. Please join me in co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation. |
