Subject: | Marine Corps Day in Pennsylvania |
In the near future, I am introducing a resolution recognizing November 10, 2019 as “Marine Corps Day” in Pennsylvania. The resolution will honor the 244th Anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps. There are nearly 200,000 soldiers enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and roughly 40,000 reserve members. I think it is important that we recognize the Marine Corps’ anniversary to honor this fine branch of our military, and give respect to those Marines who put their lives on the line to keep our country safe. The resolution was introduced as SR474 in 2018 and was sponsored by: Rafferty, Argall, Aument, Baker, Bartolotta, Blake, Brooks, Browne, Costa, Dinniman, Eichelberger, Farnese, Greenleaf, Hughes, Langerholc, Martin, Mensch, Reschenthaler, Regan, Sabatina, Schwank, White and Yudichak. Please join me in sponsoring this important resolution. If you have any questions, please contact Scot Pitzer in my office. |
