Subject: | Resolution Recognizing Brain Aneurysm Month |
In the near future, I plan to introduce a Resolution which would designate September, 2016, as “Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month” and September 24, 2016 as “Brain Aneurysm Awareness Day” in Pennsylvania. An estimated 1 out of every 50 people in the United States has a brain aneurysm, and there are typically no warning signs. Aneurysms are most likely to occur in people between the ages of 35 and 60. Each year, between 3,000 and 4,500 people in the United States with a ruptured brain aneurysm die before reaching the hospital. Please join me in recognizing the organizers, volunteers and participants who work tirelessly to support efforts to research and address this serious condition. |
Introduced as SR435
