Subject: | Resolution designating "Industrial Resource Center Appreciation Day" in Pennsylvania |
I am introducing a resolution designating May 12, 2015 as "Industrial Resource Center Appreciation Day" in Pennsylvania. Industrial resource centers where established by the General Assembly in 2001 through Act 31 to serve the manufacturing industries in the Commonwealth. These centers provide technical services and much-needed expertise to Pennsylvania's small and mid-sized manufacturers in areas such as innovation, process improvement, reshoring, and technology acceleration. During the last 10 years, they have positively impacted manufacturing in our state by helping to create or retain jobs in over 1,300 manufacturing businesses and facilitating over $1.5 billion of manufacturer investment. Please join me in recognizing and acknowledging the important role theses centers serve in Pennsylvania's economy by sponsoring this resolution with me. |
