Subject: | Legislation creating a special Honorary Consul License Plate |
I am planning on re-introducing legislation (SB 1199) that would create a license plate for a registered owner who is an honorary consul or official representative of any foreign government. The honorary consul or official representative must be a citizen of the United States, pay all required vehicle license fees and provide a copy of an honorary consul identification card. Please note, this plate would in no way confer diplomatic immunity on the vehicle. Diplomat plates can only be issued by the U.S. State Department. Previous sponsors of the bill included: FONTANA, COSTA,and BROWNE |
Introduced as SB391
