Subject: Growth Supplement for School Districts
 
I will be re-introducing legislation, SB 572, that will amend the public school code and provide for a growth supplement to school districts for the 2015 - 2016 school year. In many districts throughout the Commonwealth, high growth has put a strain on school districts. This legislation will provide qualifying school districts with supplemental revenue to account for this growth.

In order to qualify for the growth supplement, a school district’s 2015-16 average daily membership must be greater than its’ 2014-2015 average daily membership by three hundred fifty members.
