| Subject: | Recognizing the 2nd Annual Capitol All Stars Charity Softball Game |
| On Tuesday, September 23, 2014, I will be introducing a Resolution recognizing the 2nd Annual Capitol All Stars Softball Game, a charity event coordinated in partnership by the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) and Pennsylvania Legislative Services (PLS). My fellow House and Senate Colleagues will meet on September 23, 2014, at Metro Bank Park in Harrisburg for a friendly competition to benefit Feeding Pennsylvania and Hunger Free Pennsylvania. Both organizations are dedicated to relieving hunger for more than one million Pennsylvanians in need of food assistance through statewide networking with food banks, food pantries and hunger relief organizations. Last year’s inaugural game raised more than $62,000 for anti-hunger programs. Approximately 50,000 volunteers give of their time at the 20 food banks and 5,000 food pantries to help Pennsylvanians who fight hunger, including 536,000 children who are nutritionally insecure.
