Subject: | National Missing Children’s Day Resolution |
In the near future we will be introducing a resolution recognizing May 25th as National Missing Children’s Day in Pennsylvania. Every year, thousands of children in the United States go missing. Finding missing children requires the coordinated efforts of parents, law enforcement, and the general public. In 1983, President Ronald Regan proclaimed May 25 as “National Missing Children’s Day” to remind parents and guardians of children that high-quality photographs of their child are crucial to search efforts should their child go missing. National Missing Children’s Day is also a reminder to the public to pay close attention to posters of missing children and to contact law enforcement immediately with any tip that may be helpful. Please join us in sponsoring this important resolution. |
