MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 13, 2014 03:33 PM
From: Senator Timothy J. Solobay
To: All Senate members
Subject: Video gaming machines

In the near future I plan to introduce legislation to further authorize the use of gaming machines. My bill would allow for video gaming, which includes poker, bingo, keno, blackjack and other authorized games, to be placed and used in licensed establishments (restaurant, bar, tavern, hotel, club, that has a valid liquor or malt or brewed beverage license).

The establishments would apply to the Department of Revenue to get authorization to operate video gaming machines and pay a licensing fee for the General Fund. Each machine would be issued a valid certificate of registration and receive a certification stamp affixed to the machine.

The Department of Revenue shall develop guidelines as to the completing of the application, develop the certificate of registration, and promulgate necessary regulations.

Introduced as SB1331
