Subject: | Women's History Month Resolution |
Senator Kitchen and I plan to introduce a resolution designating March as “Women’s History Month” in Pennsylvania. Since 1987, Congress has designated March as “Women’s History Month” to recognize the extraordinary achievements of women in American history. “Women’s History Month” honors and celebrates the diverse and significant struggles and successes of women throughout the history of Pennsylvania and the United States. This year’s theme, “Women’s Education-Women’s Empowerment: Women Inspiring Innovation through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics”, honors generations of women who throughout American history have used their intelligence, imagination, sense of wonder, and tenacity to make extraordinary contributions to the STEM fields. Please join us in co-sponsoring this resolution. Thank you. |
