Subject: Sales Tax Exemption for Equipment for Visually Impaired
 
In the near future, I intend to re-introduce legislation which was Senate Bill 480 in the 2011-12 legislative session.

This legislation will provide an exemption from Sales Taxes for the purchase of equipment used to facilitate reading and communicating by persons who are blind and visually impaired.

Cosponsors of Senate Bill 480 of the 2011-12 session included: Senators FOLMER, FONTANA, ERICKSON, RAFFERTY, ROBBINS, BOSCOLA, TARTAGLIONE, COSTA, LEACH, KITCHEN, FERLO and FARNESE.
