Subject: | Game Code Legislation |
In the near future I plan to introduce the following pieces of legislation amending Title 34, the Game Code. If you have any questions please contact my office at 717-787-7175 |
Introduced as SB764
Description: | This bill would require the Game Commission to provide copies of a summary of the regulations for the seasons, bag limits, hunting hours and hunting regulations for migratory birds as determined by the United States Secretary of the Interior under the authority of the Migratory Game Bird Treaty Act. The Game Commission must make this information available to each United States Post Office located in the Commonwealth where a Migratory Bird Hunting Conservation Stamp may be purchased and to the public at its headquarters and each regional headquarters by mail and upon request. |

Introduced as SB763
Description: | This bill would remove the required keeping and inspection of camp rosters by the Game Commission. Currently, the Game Code and the related regulations require five or more persons who are members of a permanent camp and hunt together for deer, bear, or elk to maintain a roster. The roster is required to be carried by the leader of the camp and posted outside the camp for 30 days after the close of the season. The camp roster requirement is antiquated and given the Commission's automated licensing system is no longer required. |
