MEMORANDUM

Posted: February 11, 2013 04:37 PM

To: All Senate members
Subject: Eliminating “Do-Not-Call” List Re-registration

In the near future, I plan to reintroduce legislation to eliminate the five-year registration period for the “Do-Not-Call” list.

In the past, our offices have notified constituents of the need to re-register for the “Do-Not-Call” list. I have heard back from many in my district who think the time period should be extended. Given the list’s success and large participation, I am seeking to eliminate re-registration all together.

Additionally, given the cost to the Commonwealth to manage the re-registration, this legislation is both consumer friendly and fiscally responsible.

Introduced as SB699
