Subject: Teen Dating and Violence Awareness Prevention Week - Resolution
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution designating the first week of February 2013 as “Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Week” in Pennsylvania.

A 2012 Center for Disease Control study found that approximately 9% of those surveyed had reported being physically harmed by a boyfriend or girlfriend in the preceding twelve months. A number of factors can contribute to teen violence and it is important that our communities raise awareness of this issue.
